Spud Johnson's Sexy Site of Stupendous Stories
and Other Silly Stuff

Stories

All of my stories can be found on Ao3. The buttons below will take you to their respective Ao3 page.

My primary project, in addition to being my pride and joy.Descent into Darkness follows the journey of Patricia the anthropomorphic onion and Eliza the Autism-ADHD coded witch as they are forced to take part in an ancient conflict of titanic proportions.I like to describe D.i.D. as a Tolkien Epic masquerading as anthro Pokemon Fanfiction. Sure, it starts off that way, but as you read through, it becomes very clear that I have no intention of abiding by the laws and customs of Pokemon games and whatnot.Part 1 is complete, and the story is currently in its first period of "downtime", which is the time between parts when new chapters are not being released. There are currently a total of 4 parts planned, though that may change if I get some good ideas.

Bittersweet Lullabies

Bittersweet Lullabies is a project celebrating the one year anniversary of becoming Spud Johnson. While my I wasn't a writer or artist at this point, everything I have done up to this point can be traced back to August 10th, 2023 (Bittersweet Lullabies was not published on the 10th of August, instead having to wait until early September).Myself and other members of the D.I.D.D.C. worked together to create cover art for each story, though personal matters forced one of them to defer their story to me. From left to right, top to bottom:Seeds of Wisdom: Originally going to be done by Wishy, I had to take over for them
Red Herring: Myself
Scars: Virtigris
The Fiend and the Fae: Cyber
Set across the span of a 1-2 weeks after Part 1 of Descent into Darkness, Bittersweet Lullabies can be seen as filler, while myself and the D.I.D.D.C. work on planning out Part 2

Katie Latchwell and Terry Coopers: Media Moles

A short story set three months after Part 1 of Descent into Darkness. Currently in the process of having slices released every Tuesday and Friday.Live reporter Katrina "Katie" Latchwell and her trusty cameraman Terrance "Terry" Coopers privately investigate mysterious events from three months ago surrounding the sudden reappearances of over a hundred previously missing persons inside an abandoned warehouse in Onoto City. What they find has the potential to alter the course of the world in ways they can't even imagine

Journal of a Helldiver

Journal of a Helldiver was a fun little hobby I started when I first picked up Helldivers 2. I never really expected it to gain any kind of traction. To my initial joy and current frustration, it has manged to garner significantly more attention than Descent into Darkness, and does not seem to be stopping.I'm currently frustrated by this because the side hobby I put barely any effort into is doing significantly better than the thing I'm putting my heart and soul into creating. As for the "story" itself, it's a chronicle of my character in Helldivers 2, detailing individual missions I play, in-game events such as major orders, and even the friends I make along the way.Due to burnout playing Helldivers 2, and newfound technical limitations (I can't really play the game currently), I have ceased creating new entries, and have placed a light closer at the end.I may come back to HD2 one day, and I can guarantee that I'll be writing journal entries when that happens.

Predator and Prey

Predator and Prey is a story I wrote set in Beyond the Ice Walls, a fictional (Heavy emphasis on fictional) worldbuilding project I am a part of. You can learn more about us on the main page of this site. When I first posted this on the BtIW discord server, I got a shout out on twitter by the loremaster and a general consensus of "This is fantastic" by everyone. So yeah, I'm kinda proud of this one.Originally, you could only view the cryptpad file. However, I ended up posting it on Ao3 while setting up this site, so that everyone can enjoy it.I'm not currently planning a sequel, but who knows. I may get divine inspiration.

Plenty of Time

The first story I wrote and published on my twitter page, excluding the short-lived teaser for the scrapped Project Found.Plenty of Time is heavily (translation: entirely) inspired off of the SFM animation Endless Rust by FlyToRainbowRay on Youtube. I'll put the link to the animation(s) below.Compared to everything else I've written, this one is pathetically short, around only 1,200 words in length. I still consider it a good read.I do not ever plan on releasing a followup, as FlyToRainbowRay has already confirmed to me (ie: replied to my comment on E.R.2) that he doesn't plan on making any more Endless Rust stuff, and I've decided to respect his decision by not trying to do so myself.
